Summer Softball
Who else plays in some sort of summer and/or beer league? This will be my first ever organized baseball/softball team. I'll probably suck it up, but hope to get a few hits and score a run or two.

Re: Summer Softball
I play on a beer league team (Biggest league in North America) which is mixed, and on a slo-pitch mens team.
I badly wish to play hardball again, but I can't find a team at my skill level locally. I miss hardball like nobody's business.
That being said, I've thrown out my arm and can't play for 8-10 weeks. Coaching it is.
I grew up playing rep hardball for years upon years...so coaching has always been something to interest me.
I'm thinking about asking the local minor ball league I would love to assist on a team, and maybe go from there.

Re: Summer Softball
I play on a fairly serious softball team, locally. We've already played in 4 tournaments, including one in Vegas. We just won our last one, and we're all hitting the piss out of the ball.
I grew up playing hardball all the way through college. But once that was over, I really never got the shot at playing in the minors. I could have when I was a sophomore (college), but at the time, I thought getting my degree was most important. So I've been playing softball ever since, and it's really fun. We're really competitive on the field, but its all about beers and stories when we're done.
