Help Wireless card program problem
I have the Linksys Wireless g PCI adapter program running that allows me to use the internet running, and it is using up ungodly amounts of ram.. It will start out at maybe 20k and jump all the way up to 300k and higher. It seems to keep it under control if i go and end its process in the task manager which is WMP54Gv4.exe because it will restart and use a lower amount but it always climbs, ive searched for it in yahoo looking for a solution but ive seen alot of people with the same problem and no soultion. I cant use the internet without this thing running, if i close it.. it opens back up, if i stop it from working all together, i remember somehow figuring out how to keep it from opening i think i blocked it with zonealarm or something, then it wont let windows use the wireless detection thing that connects. It shows that it is connected but the internet doesnt ever work.
Any ideas? thanks much its a huge problem

Re: Help Wireless card program problem
You can use the microsoft program to access your internet. All you do is just close that Linksys program and windows will take over. That what i'm doing with my linksys.

Re: Help Wireless card program problem
I had that problem before and had to re-install it. Also had to go into my start menu and unselect it so it wouldn't start up auto when i boot up.

Re: Help Wireless card program problem
well what you can do is go into your services under the control panel then administrative tools, and go to what is called Wireless Zero Configuration and manual start it, and this should disable your linksys program if not pull the card out and remove the program and driver, then place the card back in after a reboot and then it will ask for the driver and just load the driver not the utility, Windows will run your wireless for you, you just have to have the wireless zero configuration running.
try that and if you still having problems, post and we'll try and solve it,
