I've recently had some trouble with my PS3. Its picture is entirely in black and white. Pressing the PS button used to bring it back to color, but it seems to no longer have any effect. Anyone else ever have this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks!

Why did you buy a PS3? I would return it / sell it for a 360 or a Wii or a ds lite.

Mainly because the room mate I'm living with now owns a Wii and once I move to a house over the summer, one of my other room mates will be supplying the 360. Plus, I got it for less than retail over Ebay. DS lite may have been a good idea though *shrugs*

Anywho... suggestions? =p

Nah, I doubt that. I bought it back in November and it has been perfectly fine until last week. Now it won't get out of Black n White mode :-/ Cool for Call of Duty. Stupid for other games =p

It's more of an investment than anything. Right now, there are some good games, but othing so awesome that you NEED to have one, IMO.

Does it in both S-Video and Component. Don't have a HDMI TV or cable to hook it up to :(

Im assuming that its not really a 'black and white mode' but just a black and white picture. Did you try putting in a PS2 game or a DVD (or, omg a Blu-Ray Disc!)??? See if that produces color or if it is still in black and white.

Also, I would start to look at you warranty, to be prepared for the worst.

sounsd like a damaged cable to me. Could be a damaged input on either the PS3 or tv as well. Test a different cable and test a different component to make sure.
