Re: someone help my hard drive was wiped

When I had some HD problems once, I just added a 2nd HD. Then, I moved everything over from the old to the new. Depends if you reformatted. If you did, what you had is gone.

You still should be able to recover most of your files as long as you havent reformatted your hard drive yet. There are progs out there on the market that will help you recover them or bite the bullet and take it to a repair shop and have them do it for you.

Re: someone help my hard drive was wiped

gauging from what you wrote ...
i would take it that you are not real hip on comps ... if you have done a "total" format you're pretty much hosed , but not entirely .

take the machine/drive to a reputable comp shop or guru ... explain what you did and so forth . they should tell you that "all the bets are off" , however , they should be able to retrieve some of your information . if they cannot do what you require they should be able to point you toward someone who can .

can we say "forensic software" , boys and girls ?

ps ... i just read your post in another thread here . caveat emptor .

hey there i do recovery
so far ive got a 100% success rate
i use easy recovery pro its great
u need to install it on a different pc and then pull out the formatted hard drive and put it into an exterior case attached with USB or firewire
and run the recovery
it always works if ur motor in the HD is not damaged
i even did reformatted disks
