I know I must be understanding during this time. There are women out there who dont' mind having sex during this time as well. Most of those that do usually like to wait at least for the first few days to go by (the heavy days) and I can concur.

What is it we are supposed to do as men when our lovely gorgeous, sweet smelling, exotic, temptress of a wife is sleeping there next to you and a few days have passed since the begining of her period and your saluting her? Now my wife isn't much of a morning person already when it comes to sex but this is now Thursday and she started Sunday.

I have ran into this so many times and it is very hard (no pun intended) to come up with some way to avoid frustration and not take it out on her in any direct or subtle way!?!??! It's not like I dont' think we won't be having sex any time soon but I have promised not to masterbate anymore because of the impact it has on her mentally. (long story) So what am I left to do?

trust me....I tried the hide it thing for some time...I'm trying this just for now anyway...see what is to become of it....trying to understand her feelings regarding this...and maybe it will (and has in some ways) make sex more explosive and more rewarding with her when I'm ready for her and not just "...finally....I've been masterbating all week waiting for this..." lol

i *cough* agree. i think. she sounds like a ridiculously insecure person and i feel sorry for her. first of all, sex during her period can be....gooey, but if it's good it's gooey anyway so who cares what color the goo is? secondly, she shouldn't be forbiding you from masturbating, she should be thanking you for taking care of yourself when she's not in the mood. that's just less work for her to do, and it stops you from pestering her. it's a win-win. i think you should be as nonconfrontational and as nonhostile as you can be and try talking to her about both issues.

yes the insecurity is an issue and I can't complain enough about it so I really don't know how much more I need to reassure her she will always be the one (hell we've been married going on 8 years)

The thing is if I look at porn/talk dirty online and masterbate it becomes an issue in her mind she isn't satisfying me enough and that maybe I should find it elsewhere with someone with close to equal enough sex drive as me since it seems such an integral part of who I am sexually.

I certainly don't want that...I wouldn't fathom sticking myself into anyone else but her. Fantasy is fantasy...and masterbation is great for relief in many ways. I have tried numerous amount of times to explain this but the insecurity is one helluva wall to bring down and I love her too much to think that something as simple as this is going to start to divide us. Something I would believe I could find means to keep in some sort of self control.

She doesn't mind having sex during her period but sometimes she may not have any at all the whole 5-7 days she is bleeding. Most of the time we'll have it once during and I think it usually is her giving in but I can't complain too much if she wants to please me that way sometimes.

I'm just trying to find a "win-win" situation. I certainly would like to find a way for her to be more convinced and understand it helps me deal with her not wanting but in no way substitutes and pleases me more.

I dunno.....maybe a sexual therapist? what options do I really have?

Well for starters, not having an orgasm for 5 days shouldn't be life-ending anyways, you must have one hell of a sex drive.
Secondly, if the issue is that you need release, and she doesn't want you masturbating, Oral sex? that releases you and doesn't require her to actually have sex during her period.

But really, if it's like driving you INSANE to not orgasm for a relatively short period to the point where you're looking for solutions so that you don't have to "Take it out on her" you may want to consider finding ways to reduce your sex drive.

Seems like she's going about this the wrong way. She thinks if you jack off it will lead to cheating? To me it's if you ain't getting it and she isn't "letting" you jack off THAT will lead to cheating.

I dont' think that is at all possible...and I know for sure she doesn't want me trying to do anything that would inhibit or reduce my sex drive. Just excercise some control.
