I think this is bullshit. Just because upper management can't draft the guys needed to protect his QB, Steve gets the axe.

I mean come on....YOu already have two pretty decent WR with Rodgers and Williams (Roy). Why waste a first round pick on Mike Williams instead of getting some O linemen. This also helps the run game.

Matt Millen should look in the mirror. He's the problem there....not anyone else. Don't get me wrong....I hate Joey, but only because he played for Oregon and I hate, HATE the Ducks.

What do you guys think about the whole thing?

Same thing I was thinking about the O Line. No QB is gonna be productive when he is flat on his ass all the time. Matt Millen has totally fucked this franchise for years. He should have fired his damn self as well for being a complete douche.

The only reason I like the Lions is because of Joey. Like to see what he could do with some protection...like the 'Skins.

Drafting so many receivers was a ridiculous move. Especially when you have Garcia and Harrington as your QB's... it won't matter if you have an eternally young Jerry Rice on your team, they will never see the ball.

Personally, I'm thrilled Mooch got shitcanned.....Because now he can come replace Sherman who should never have been a head coach. I'm a huge Mooch fan, and I'd be real curious to see how Brett would react to playing again under one of his best friends.

Seriously though, I feel that this is just another example of how fucked the Lions organization is. Mariucci will find another job and quickly. The Lions will lose most of the rest of their games. And they will be fucked next year when they're devoid of quality leadership at any level because Millen is blind to his own shortcomings. They'll probably have another non-sensical draft, more QB controversies, and more players who simply don't fit or aren't necessary to the system.
