Ok so i dont know if this is the right place to be posting this here esp since i see a lot of movie downloads so im sorry if this is the wrong place. I know that Death Proof comes out next week and Terror Planet in Oct but does anybody know if they will be released as on big combo special edition dvd?
I'm sure that they will. Another way to get more money from us consumers.
I'm not saying it's not worth it though.
That's how they planned it, and it's obvious. I'm gonna buy Death Proof next week, and Planet Terror when it comes out. Then I'll buy the set when they release them together.. I don't mind giving a little more money for the people who made those movies, they deserve it.
im gonna rent the 2.. i personally dont like that they split them up.. i hope and am sure they will release a special edition.. with all the "commercails" mixed in as well.
GRINDHOUSE Presents DEATH PROOF: September 18th, 2007.
This is the extended version of the film prepared by Quentin Tarantino for the Cannes film festival. Running time is around two hours. It does include the "Missing Reel" a.k.a. the lapdance, and a reel shot entirely in Black and White.
The 2 disc release does include bonus materials, including six featurettes (Stunts on Wheels: The Legendary Drivers of Death Proof; Finding Quentin's Gals; The Guys of Death Proof; Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike; Introducing Stunt Goddess Zoë Bell; & Quentin's Greatest Collaborator: Editor Sally Menke); an interview conducted by Quentin Tarantino with director Cirio H. Santiago; an International Poster Gallery; and trailers for Grindhouse and the documentary Double Dare.
GRINDHOUSE Presents PLANET TERROR: October 16th, 2007.
This is the extended version prepared by Robert Rodriguez. Running time is around two hours. It will have the fake trailer of MACHETE before PLANET TERROR, as it was in GRINDHOUSE.
The 2 disc set does have bonus materials, including an audio commentary with Robert Rodriguez, deleted scenes, featurettes on the stunts, the make-up and effects, the badass babes, the renegade guys, the costumes, & the production design, cooking & 10-minute film schools; and the international trailer.
LIMITED STEELBOOK CASES: September 18th & October 16th
At the Weinstein booth at the San Diego Comic-Con, it was confirmed that Best Buy would carry exclusive steelbook cases for both films, each coming with an exclusive third disc. The bonuses on the third disc are unknown at this time.
GRINDHOUSE (DOUBLE FEATURE PRESENTATION): June 8th, 2008
This will be the Double Feature presentation as originally presented in theatres. Since the 2 disc sets for DEATH PROOF and PLANET TERROR had the bonus materials for each individual film, this disc will be a movie only version, with the possibility of just having the trailer(s) for GRINDHOUSE as it's sole bonus feature.

Well it's folks like you that allow folks like me to keep sticking it to The Man.
Already downloaded this & won't be buying it...so I'm sorry that QT will be forced to buy the Gulfstream IV instead of the Gulfstream V because of corrupt peeps like me, but perhaps if it was as good as, say, Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs I wouldn't have resorted to such larcenous activity.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about any free download I can get my paws on, but sometimes I like to have the actual release. This is one of those times. Just like yesterday, I went out and bought the Planet Earth series(BBC version). Watching it right now.
Yeah Jackie-0 pointed the HD-DVD of that one out to me on Amazon just yesterday, only 65 bucks with free shipping, I'm sorely tempted to pick that one up retail.
Of course I haven't yet figured out how to rip/burn HD-DVD on the cheap either LOL.

HEADING TO AMAZON RIGHT NOW
edit: 4-7 business days and I'll have it in my hands!
Thanks Jackie!

NOw is that the BBC or the American version?
Edit: Nevermind, I looked myself. That's a killer deal. Too bad I don't have an HDTV and an HD DVD player.
I'm so glad you pointed out the BBC set at Costco, the naration is so much better on this one.
