pretty straight forward question.

in a serious relationship (married or just dating 6 months or more for this post) would you or have you ever cheated on your partner. i personally dont know that i would. i just got out of a 3 and a half year relationship that was anything but physical but i never once cheated. given the opportunity i cant say that i wouldnt have but i didnt.

Been with fp now for a little under a year. We've been living together since Sept. I wouldn't ever cheat on him (and honestly, I have no desire to even be with another). I believe that if you are in a serious relationship, you should be able to talk through any problems. If you are starting to have the desire to cheat, there is something wrong. Whether you are not satisfied, or you have a commitment issue and try to push all the limits. I would rather have the person tell me and break off the relationship than to cheat on me. All cheating does is hurt people and the relationship, you could never rebuild the trust.

Pretty sure this would bring up the age-old "what is cheating?" question, people trying to wrangle a few inches here and there. "It was just a kiss and we were both drunk!" Oh, yeah, right... what are you doing getting drunk with some other guy??

Anyhoo, answer is just straight-up no. If you feel like cheating, LEAVE but don't cheat. It would be very easy for TY and I to cheat on each other seeing as we are 3000 miles apart. But cheating is not cool, and I have no desire to do so. Been cheated on, I think my dad might've cheated on my mom also... no desire to do that to a person I love.

I've been with my gf for about 2 and a half years now. I have yet to cheat on her or any other previous gf I have had. I have been given ample opportunity and have even wanted to on several occasions. Its that damn little voice inside of my head that keeps hitting me with a baseball bat in the temple. My conscience kicks in and then the guilt feeling. Don't know... I've just never acted on the impulse.

I think we are all on the same page here. Ive been with my gf for over a year, never cheated in my life , i cant say i will never do it because i dont know what will happen in the future. I can say that right now the thought of cheating makes me sick, and that i dont plan on do in it, needless to say ill try to never find my self in a situation like kulot described (getting drunk with some chic... in my case a woman) or any other that favours the cheating scenario. I fully agree when u say that instead of cheating is best to break up... but some people just dont get that all lies are eventually discovered (happened to my older brother... divorcen now). I discourage cheating with all of my friends, some of them are in long distance relationships... damn they give very good reasons for cheating, or as ive been told: if u pay for it u shouldnt consider it cheating (and then a whole theory gets explained which sadly i must say makes sense) but doesn justify anything. Kulotsalot you are in a long distance relationship and remain faithfull, thats awesome not many people i know can pull that off, thats says a lot of what kind of person you are.

Can't say never cheated, blacked out alot in high school. But I woulld not consciously cheat on a chick now. To much anxiety in trying to keep it secret, I imagine.

I've been cheated on. When I felt the kind of pain and self-doubt that only the betrayal of your true love could bring, I decided right then and there to never put another person through that. I have too much self-respect to sink to being an untrustworthy whore.

Granted, I'm definitely a whore, but that's where I draw the line.

No matter the situation I could never ever cheat on my girlfriend. I don't see how you could really care for/love someone & hurt them like that. Doesn't matter if things aren't working out. Talk to them, work it out or move on. I wouldn't, I couldn't because I don't want that shit to happen to me. Treat others like you want to be treated.
