New Illinois law against violent video games

Two days after Hillary Clinton made her ignorant speech about how children where being sold porn by way of GTA San Andreas…the governor of Illinois signed a bill into law making violent computer games illegal to rent and purchase unless you are 18…more states to follow.

What a dumb bitch…didn’t anyone tell her the code was not connected? In the case of Xbox, only the about 1% of gamers with moded systems and the Hot Coffee mod could access this part of the game…not to mention the Hot Coffee Mod has since been removed from the download sights.

Don’t think this is not your problem…60% of gamers and buyers of games are under the age of 18. If 60% of the market can’t purchase or rent a game unless it is toned down…the producers will tone them down.

Maybe we should contact our elected officials and remind them to leave parenting to parents.

Re: New Illinois law against violent video games

I don't know where you get your statistics from, but I'll buy them. It doesn't matter if they're true or completely falsified, parenting should be left to the parents.

The true problem with that statement-and I believe this is totally relevant in a gaming argument-parents aren't parents anymore. Parents are these whiny sacks of diseased flesh that push the responsibility of their spawned maggots off onto the general public and its elected officials. That's why Hillary Clinton decided to cunt all over us with her fat mouth, that's why Joe Liebermann gets all Jewy on the topic of video games, that's why Tipper Gore doesn't know shit about shit, but decided to run her fat ugly mouth anyway. I could go on pointing out pseudo intellectual fucktards all day, but that won't solve the problem.

The only way to fix this is for us smart gamers to have kids and be good parents. We'd have to breed in record numbers so as to make an impact.

I don't know, I agree with games being rated M be legally only able to be sold to people 17 or older (18 is kind of silly since the rating has written on it 17+). The ratings are there for a reason, besides it'd still be easy for anyone that wanted it to get one.

Re: New Illinois law against violent video games

wow.... fucking rediculous....... but completly agree... parents now adays are dumb shits. they can't control thier kids because some fucker who's mother didn't hug him/her enough decided spanking was child abuse. fuck, i drew on the wall once, my mom spanked me. did i ever do it again??? FUCK no! they now want you to "reason" with a fucking 4 year old! how do you do that? well ne ways on to the gaming thing. i completly agree that it should be 18+ or which ever it says on the game... as patito said, the ratings are there for a reason. well thats about all i have to say about this.... but i think a mod should move it to BOTH, or Edge to get more feedback about it.

I agree - the ratings are there for a reason - however it is sad to see games and more commonly movies being used as scapegoats to the break down in society. to me the breakdown started the with damn hippies and their no spankin policy of children.

Another example of to much government.
Parents want kids, But want you to make sure they don't get into trouble.
