Re: Troy
My problem with Troy was that Orlando Bloom is in it. His character is so fluffy and danty that you just wanna smack the crap out of him throughout the whole movie. Oh and get this, Hollywood doesn't stick to the Illiad. Suprise Suprise! I'm not going to ruin it, I'm just going to say that certain characters were sup. to die and didn't.
BTW... does anyone know who the ueberschoen chick is that is in the movie? UHh the woman that plays Helen of Troy? WOW

Re: Troy
They took out the homosexuality I'm happy to say. In reality, the Greek armies (especially Spartan) were heavily homosexual.
To answer the question about Helen,
Her name is Diane Kruger. She is a former model who has been naked in two movies before this
Mon Idole and The Target, both in 2002. Thank you Mr. Skin.

Re: Troy
It was good, but I expected better. I think reading the Iliad had my hopes up too high. They really underplayed certain aspects that were great in the book, like the role of the gods. It seemed like they cut out the fairly active parts of the gods entirely. And Paris was supposed to be fruity...his character in the book blew too.

Re: Troy
It's decently entertaining. I was expecting a 4/10, and I'd give it a 7/10.

Re: Troy
I thought it was a great movie. 8/10. I guess it's because I love Greek mythology, and there's so much history behind it. (I read National Geographic before seeing it).
I didn't think Helen was that hot, but she did have her moments....
Fight scenes were great.
