Yeah i guess the real problem is we have to compile it on UNIX and it's just giving me fits, i'll take a practice program and type it in and try to compile it and it doesn't work. UNIX sucks for programming!

thanks waldo even though i didn't get much help, i was looking for an actual program although i know that is hard to come by. Also to the other dudes i have 3 programming assignments due just wondering if i could've gotten some help that's all.

Sorry guys, I know this is an old thread, but I have to say this:
Programs are written for two audiences:
1) The computer to compile/run it
2) Humans to read it, correct it etc
I'm human, and I'm not going to read code written ONLY for a computer to read.
There, that's my rant finished !
While I'm going on....
C/C++ = compile first time, create crap when run
Pascal = compile & correct until it compiles. Run right first time
Java = Stretching my brain, but the best I've used.
