Ok here goes. I have been friends with a girl for over 5 years now. Which is a damn miracle for me. We have dated off and on here and there. We have started talking a little more seriously here as of late. We live in two different states though is the problem. I either go to see her on the weekends or she comes out and see's me. For the record we are not officialy together. When I was talking to her the other night though, she told me she found her engagement ring. How in the hell does a woman just happen to stumble upon an engagement ring. They can't do that by accident can they. Anyways she wouldn't tell me anything about the ring because she said it would scare me. Now after all of this my question is. What does all this mean. Is she thinking about getting married. I mean it isn't a bad idea, but we aren't even officially dating. Please give me advice of any sort please. And no there is no pictures to help you

Wait, did you give her that engagement ring? Because if you did, then I'd say shes bringing it back up (as a reminder to you) and if someone else bought it, maybe she wants you to say "hey lets pawn it, and get a few bottles and do it all night long" .. you never know....

Depending on how old she is, she might be wanting to settle down. I'd talk to her more about this in a calm manner...

Are you sure she isn't seeing someone else who might give her a ring?

Re: Need some advice on womens thinking

We are complex...BUT...this is something we do. It's not to say we want you to go out and buy this right now...it's just something a girl does. We dream of the whole perfect life with the perfect man... and shopping for a ring isn't out of the ordinary. She found what she likes...simple as that. She's not asking you to buy it...she's not asking you to marry her. She's talking to you as a friend stating she found the perfect ring for her...just as she would any of her friends. When she starts buying wedding magazines and picking out dresses...then you worry...for now. I say there's nothing to worry about. *smiles*

women don't think, they let their emotions guide them.
