ali. if ali got past the 3rd round it would be over for mike. ali would have never lost to buster douglas. tyson couldn't beat holyfield twice and holyfield couldn't punch out foreman. foreman was back in ali's day and evander was a top notch boxer with modern training and still couldn't knockout big george. ali would have the reach advantage, timing advantage, and could take a hit better than tyson. although tyson could sneak one in and end it too.

You have to think of it as these fighters being in their prime. It changes everything. When Tyson was young and had good people around him he was unstoppable. I think that the fight would be alot closer than most think.

We forget that Tyson was a lot like Sonny Liston. I think Ali would play on Tyson tough guy/killer image like he did Liston. The 22 year old Ali would terrorize the 22 year old Tyson.

ali beat a number of great fighters that had the same type of style as tyson. ali would win 9 time out of 10, but if tyson happened to catch him on that off day, he might slip in a couple huge hits.

i think you guys are forgetting that ali had a lot of power for his day also(with less technology in workouts). ali might not be able to match power with tyson, but itd be close enough.
