Re: Anybody ever use Lexapro???

Yeah lexapro is used for depression and can be used to treat anxiety also.....Xanax is used mainly for panic disorders, or anxiety not depression. Dont try to get fucked up off any kinds of pills like these they dont work that way...you start frying...but in a bad way it sucks.

likewise, except I didn't get diagnosed with PTSD, I was given Lexapro so I could sleep. I would go a couple of weeks at a time without sleeping, and I don't even do drugs. And when I would sleep I would have some of the most fucked up dreams I've ever had.

But the Lexapro worked great for me, knocked me on my ass every night.

I'm on this drug only because of the extremely minimal side effects compared to the others on the FDA's list of "approves." It's changed the way I'm able to react to things in a very positive way.

I do have PTSD [post traumatic stress disorder] and learned schizophrenia [growing up with a severely schizophrenic sibling]. Lexapro does NOT assist these issues, rather, it helps the anxiety disorder that runs parallel to those chemical imbalances.

The initial nausea from the start sucks. But you feel little to nothing when it's a couple weeks into your system. Most people at that point decide they no longer need the drug because it feels as though it is doing nothing, and they stop taking it, thus a relapse slowly emerges. This is normally only obvious to anyone on the outside of you, looking in.

Anyway, I had to quote the above because just recently my brother fried, literally, to death when the institution mishandled his dosage documentation and gave him too much of a similar type of drug. [NOT Lexapro] His blood began to coagulate inside his veins as his fever higher and higher. His organs began to shut down one at a time after that.

Not to say this is a fate that would inevitably happen if you took a couple fourteen dexatrametamorphan, or several ritalin. Just be careful if you're playing, and dont forget to factor your body weight into whatever you decide to dope up on.

Re: Anybody ever use Lexapro???

pills like zoloft, effexor(sp), and lexapro dont give you an instant effect like say xanax, they are a long term med it takes atleast 2wks before it alters the chemicals in your brain. you will get no effect from just popping a few

I used to date a girl that was on it. Things were great the first few months we were together but it went downhill after she went on that stuff.
