Monitor problems...

Ok.. I have a KDS X-flat, model: 786N.. and the monitor is ok except the top about 1/6th of the screen. When the monitor warms up I can kind of see through the flickers, but barely. When the computer first turns on though.. it's all black and moves around a little bit. Anyways does anybody know what the problem is here? I check all the pins in the back, and I'm guessing that they're all there, because it has 3 rows of 6 pins, but the 2nd row has the 4th one missing. I looked at my other monitor and it's missing that pin too so maybe it's not supposed to be there?? If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.. thanks.

Re: Monitor problems...

Take it for repairs... monitors are best fixed by those who know how to do it.

Re: Monitor problems...

Second the part about have it looked at by an expert or just buy a new one.

Now safety a side if you really want to look at the inside and play around make sure that the power has been off for sometime. Many monitors have components that can hold a healthy charge even after a few hours.

Re: Monitor problems...

Thanks.. I figured out the problem.. Although not all the way fixed at least now after about 5 minutes it "warms up" and I can see all my screen with no jimbles or jambles. All I did was went into Nvidia's options into the advanced settings and played with the Hz it refreshes at.
