This is true, but if you actually look at the things he stands for, he is VERY left. (I'm from Illinois so I see all this first hand) I don't know that the country want's to move the edges of the parties...that could be bad.

Sorry, but that is the nature of this country. At the cross roads we are at now, I can see a Black man being elected President in the next 10 years. A woman might be off more...maybe 25 or so. However, the Jewish thing is probably the one thing that will not happen in my life time. Why? Too much Anti-Semitism out there. Not just in the US, but the world. Think about it...How can we piss off the Muslim world more? By electing a Jewish President....

I dont thick we will be seeing any arnold or Guliani, Im sure Hillary may take a stab, but I dont think she will go very far. I would like to see McCain run, I think he would be a pretty good president.

O.k. I know the topic is who will RUN so I'll stick to that first. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist will likely run in 2008. He has a great deal of power now (even though he's acting like he doesn't) and knows the complete layout of what goes on in D.C. Senator Frist is very composed and intelligent, but also jittery and vulnerable which means he would likely not succeed against a strong Democratic candidate. He's perfect for the Senate because he can, for the most part, stay behind closed doors and prepare what he needs to say to the public. I wouldn't be surprised if Tom Delay ran for the Republican nomination, but again do not feel he would win an election. I am at a loss for thought concerning a Democratic nominee right now. Once we get closer to 2008 I think I'll have a better idea. Clinton may run, but will not win. Same as Barrack. Both are powerful Democrats, but the United States and the rest of the planet isn't ready for a woman President of the United States. I know there are and have been other women in positions of high power in the world, but the the high position of power to the largest military, political, economical and financial leader on this planet will not belong to a woman. No disrespect to women, but at this point we aren't ready and those who revere us will shed that feeling. Howard Dean is a moron so he's out. Senators Kerry and Edwards will also not run again. Again, my knowledge is far too limited to make even an prediction let alone an intelligent remark. As for who I want to see in 2008, Newt Gingrich would have my vote if he ran. He's brilliant and conservative (and I don't mean that politically even though he is) and has the respect of probably every Republican in federal government. I hope to any existing god that Senator Kennedy runs because he's a frikkin communist. No chance in hell he'd make it but it'd be hilarious to see him debate pretty much anyone.
