Ok here we go I just founf this stuff out over the weekend and it has me really POed. My step sister and her soon to be husband already have one child and she has another on the way, they do not want to get married because they say welfare will pay for the child since they are not, he works for a state correctional facility and had great benefits and makes good money upwards of 18-22dollars an hour. They are taking advantage of the system and that really po's me, they have the money they are just to damn selfish to use it in the right way.
That is just the start of it her youngest was born with cancer, I know I wouldn't wish that on anyone BUT, She has been in remission for over eight years now with no signs of it anywhere but she still gets everything she can out of special wish or any other charity out there, That is just wrong in my book, I could see it if she was sick. Thirdly he oldest has a problem holding her bladder instead of working with the child on going to the bathroom they take her to some specialist her put a cath in her which is going to be permanent this poor girl is going to have to live with this her whole life because her parents aree to damn LAZY to work with her child.
Sorry about ranting on and on I would like to turn them in but I don't want to start a family feud any advise???

Well, the bladder problem sounds legit to me. As for the not getting married just to use the system when they could afford it on their own, that is shameful.

Well I just don't understand the bladder thing, The poor girl never had any problems when she spent the night with my mother, of course mom would work with her and take her to the restroom ever so often to make sure of it and make sure she went before she went to bed and never once had any problems.
Yeah the welfar thing just totslly burns me up! but what do you do??

ummmm.. they are not your children so there is not a whole lot you can do.... the welfare thing,let them pull their "schemes" as long as the law lets them benefit from welfare,choosing to get married is their choice...dont be a snitch.. the whole cath. thing, im sure a doctor would know if that is needed or not, you are not an expert.
and the wish foundation stuff... the kid has cancer, it doesnt matter if she is in remission..she will only be a kid for so long. if i were you i suggest ya just strive to be the best uncle ya can be.. YOU can teach your nieces and nephews morales, and sound judgement even if their parents don't.. you can be a roll model. also ya should talk to your sister about this if it really does bother you that much.. thats all i gotta say -=P

Wow...that is just wrong. My blood is boiling just reading that. Maybe just saying something to them will make them think twice? But then again I know how any relative with the word "step" in front of it think. So a family fued would be eminent even if you just said something, or even chewed them out, so to speak.

Tough decision. Hope it all works out.

So, basically, you're just gonna negate everything he's said? The kid hasn't had cancer in 8 years. As far as the bladder, that's ridiculous. Kids have bladder problems sometimes. This has nothing to do with being a "snitch". Are you old enough to be on this forum?
