Re: The college life
Here's another strategy: Think about all the things you absolutely hate doing, then figure out what the exact opposite of that would be.

Re: The college life
I think that everyone here has given you some good advice. I graduated from high school and went straight to work. I too felt like I had spent 'enough time' in school already. I gained alot of experience from working in a few different types of jobs and having fun in the time I wasn't working. Your young, don't think you have to make up your mind right now. Take all the easy classes, then try to decide. Make sure that you are not consuming yourself with only college, the life experiences you get from being with people will help you in deciding. Have fun! There is time to have fun and decide later...

Re: The college life
My advice: drop out. Then spend six months living at home, working and saving money. Then go travelling for another six months. I kno wit sounds cheesy, but you might find out about yourself out there.

Re: The college life
I know the feeling and have at least 3 very close friends who have all hit academic suspension and are now at JuCo. My advice is to take classes that you actually have a passion for. You like movies? Take film classes. You like music? Take some classes. It seems overly simple but it can change the course of your educational experience. Find similar subjects to things you like but may not have considered. Do you like doodling on your skateboard? Art class. Or ever wondered how the 180 works? Introductory Physics.
Or if you're really not sure- take a break. I'm not going to use the old "find yourself" but travel and discover what you desire.

Re: The college life
I've found that if you don't think of it as another four more years to go it helps, Take everything one day at a time, Say to yourself "okay, i just need to do this stuff to get through today" before you know it you'll find the load of college a little less burdening.
