Ok i'm a guy and doggy for me is the best position by far only problem is that my gf doesn't really like it. I was under the impression that women liked it the most? Anything i can do to coax her into liking it?

I would go with easing her into it, but more importantly let her know you love 'missionary' and staring into her eyes and blah blah blah, but that the other position feels really good and is great for the both of you. moral of story: she might feel like you having her bent over and doing her from behind is some sort of rejection...like you might not want to have to look at her. also throw in compliments about how hot she is and how hot her ass is and how you'd love to stare at her at any angle....you get it. hope that helps.

Start laying down spooning, rather than standing up or kneeling. Let her find her own comfortablel position until things start to get loosened up and work your way into a position that you favor. But yeah, it might just be uncomfortable for her.
