I've been layed off for over a month from Suzuki, they cut 110 positions. I can't find ANYTHING decent within 150 miles for certified welders. Pizza Hut and Taco Bell is hiring though....guess we see where having 3 years of technical training and over 7 years experience gets you. Now im drawing a chitty un-employment check while i try to scrounge up something that pays remotely close to what i was making.

A strongly enforce, extremly cruel death penalty I HIGHLY doubt will have any affect on the murder rate: its been around since almost the beginning of civiliation, has it worked? NOOOOOOO. In addition to that, how can you logicaly explain why the government can kill someone, but you can't? Its moraly hypocritcal and incompatible with "moral" views.

Also, thanks to fucking lawyers (these people are definanetly related to politicians. By the way, I mean no actual personal offense to anyone who is a politician or lawyer. My cousin is a lawyer and my brother is in the process of becoming a lawyer; so please don't take offense and if so, I'm sorry.) and the way fucking "legal English" (a combination of Vodka-influenced Russian mixed with Chinese would make more sense) works is that it PROTECTS the criminal more than the good guy. Suppose Osama bin-Laden was arrested by a NYC police officer by some random chance and the officer forgot to give him his Miranda rights; gets who gets out? Legally, all charges brought against O. bticha-llama's ass will have to be dropped and due to the rules against double jeopardy, he is a free man (though he prolly won't live long if that did happen.) That's just one of many cases I can present to you about why the legal system protects the criminal more than the good guy; the more laws we make protecting our "precious" fucking privacy (which isn't mentioned ANYWHERE in the Constitution), then the easier it is for the smart (keyword smart, the "educated" ones get away, hence why there are significantly more black people in prison than fucking corporate bastards) criminal to get away.

I did not mean to say that lack of education is why blacks are in prison. hmm....What I meant by the word "education" was education about the legal system and easy access (via money, the only way besides dick-sucking to pay lawyer as far as I know) to lawyers who know about or can find the law that will get you scotch-free from prison. Which is why the petty theif without money nor much expertise on legalise gets sent to life for stealing a pizza (it was also his third offense in California, so that is what got him in jail) whereas the CEO of Enron pretty much gets off the hook for stealing millions of dollars from people and robbing them literaly of their job and pension.

I could have done that, I'm just near the point of sleep right now. I was just thinking about how there are a lot more blacks and other minorites in prison than white people while I said that I guess. Anyways, since the topic is "where did our country go wrong" I want to bring up another point (Jimi, keep talking about anything wrong I'm saying about the prison system): the CIA. One of the first actions of the CIA when it was created right after WW2? I believe in 1958,(correct me if I'm wrong) there were elections in Italy where there were three main parties running for power. The Catholic party, the socialist and the communit. The communist and socialist parites united together and due to our Cold War policy of the time, the CIA directly influenced the results of the election by encouraging the Church (with lots of money I dare say, let's ignore the whole immorality of this now) to tell its congregation to go out and vote for the Catholic party thus winning the elction for them when it seemed like the communist/socialist were in the lead. Also, Afghanistan and the Middle East (Iraq's chemical weapons/expertise comes from the USA and Osama binladen was trained by the CIA) where we freely gave weapons and training to anyone who "said" they were against communism due to our obsession of staying true to the Truman doctrine of doing anything in our power to stop the spread of communism. Although those three actions were for a good cause, it shows how fucked up our foreign policy has been the past 50 years in general and why when Bush suddenly took a unilateral stance the world exploded. During this past election, all the Europeans countries (officialy and publicaly through the gov't) wouldn't DARE show any support for Kerry or disapproval of Bush, yet America tampers with other free elections at will. (another case, in 1963 JFK had the elected president of South Vietnam assassinated and replaced by a dictator) The world exploded b/c the feelings of anti-Americanism were there, but just underneath the sruface. SO anyways, because of this explosion of dislike for America, people world-wide are taking the money they invested in what used to be the only safe place to invest right after WW2 in the world and placing it in other countries. That is hurting our economy and htus hurting America. This post isn't meant to be an anti-Bush thread, so please don't take it that way. I have blasted JFK, Truman and just pretty much any other forien policy leader in the past 50 years.
