should we get the oil that is in Alaska at the price of messing up the ecosystem there? why should we depend on our energy needs in other countries that do not appreciate what we do for them? if charles darwin was correct , would not those animals should have adapted to a different envirnment? how about surviving of the fittest?

should we say... freak the animals I want cheap gas for my suv?

Re: natural resources (oil)

I'm not an environmentalist, to any extent, and therefore would say make Alaska a crater if it served our purposes. However, I'm much in favor of alternative energies (solar, hydroelectric, etc.). Why? Resources that aren't concentrated in one little region of political unrest tend not to spark wars.

are gas prices aren't high yet, and does anyone know how bad drilling for oil in today's technological advanced era effect the environment?

Re: natural resources (oil)

I think that if we are in such need for oil, it's time to start concentrating on alternative means. We're running out, and fast. Regardless of where we get the oil, it's time to do something. As far as messing up the environment for the oil, fuck that! We're renting this space, we don't own it. People don't seem to understand the consequences of what we are, in fact, doing to this planet. We're raping it. We are a virus among the cells of the solars. Evox proves this. He doesn't care whether we kill off a particular species, and he's not alone in that very large, and polluted boat.
