Ladies: What exactly does it mean when you call a guy your boyfriend?
So I have been seeing this girl for a while. About a month ago, she referred to me as her boyfriend. The more I talk to my friends the more I realize that this term might mean different things to different people. So, ladies, when you call a guy your boyfriend, what does that mean? Are you exclusive? Are you just interested in seeing where things are going?

If I'm just interested in seeing where it is going, he is "a boy I'm seeing/dating". If it's exclusive, he's "my boyfriend". This however, is just me and not her. I generally make it a rule that both people know where they stand in terms of monagamy, commitment, etc. Sounds like you two need to have a little chat.
