What about a program that goes DVD to .AVI? I just wanna pull of a clip on a dvd I have. Is this an easy thing to do? Thanks.

There are plenty of video editing software solutions out there, but most are not free. I believe MYsonic dvd may do what you ask. You will likely still have to rip the dvd first, since most programs will see that the disk is protected and won't touch it. Also many companies have fully funtioning trial software that you can try before you buy.

I have also heard that Alcohol 120% is quite a good program. Never used it though.
