There ability to kiss sensually and the ability for both the guy and girl to quickly mold there kissing style into something similiar to where both are kissing in the same way.
There are also all types of different tongue tricks, and teasing, and how you move and breath, and everything else thats involved. The more that you can incorporate into it, the less it seems like your kissing in repitition, which would make it boring. You just have to know whats right, at the right time, for the right mood. How you move your hands, and where they are, also makes a big impact.

Don't slobber... that's the worst. Sure it can be called "trading spit," but I'm not there to go swimming.

Re: what makes a good kisser??
One thing i've found with girls, is despite all the feminist and womens lib stuff, they like to be guided. Add to this that their neck is sensitive and an eroganous zone to them glide your hands upto her neck, and gentle guide her in. Once in stroke up and down her arms, then start holding her hands. If you have only just started kissing, don't grab her arse, leave it il she's commited to you. Guys, it is all in the small details. To a woman all the other stuff around the kiss like the holding, looking into each others eyes just before the kiss, is far, far more important than the actual tongue penetration itself, so don't underestimate it...

Re: what makes a good kisser??
I once dated this girl who would dart her tongue really fast and yea it scared the fuck out of me the first time. I just jumped back and was like... woah calm down. My "most energetic tongue" award goes to her.
Then there was this other chick who really liked to get the kisses deep when she was on top, I barely could breath. She gets the "I kinda feel like your trying to kill me but I like it award"
I think its more easy to describe how not to kiss than to kiss well.
Chapstick is a good start though. =]

Re: what makes a good kisser??
Carmex is better
I think just relaxing (my current bf had an issue with that when we first started dating.. he wasn't really exprienced, I changed that..) and going with the flow. I don't like to be the leader or the follower just kinda do whatever feels right.
Of course, props for nibbling gently..... Mmmmm

I Love All Kissing. Especially If It Leads To More Things. But I Think Any Type Of Kiss Can Be Good If Its The Right Time.
