Just a quick question for everyone. When you go out to the bars or clubs and get a number from someone, what is the usual amount of time that you wait to call them or expect to be called in and what do you consider too soon or too late?

That's a hard question to answer without knowing anything about you since you aren't a regular poster (4 posts in 2 years is pretty sad). Basically we don't know if you're the type to play it cool after 1 day or if she's the "one night stand" type for you to wait 3 days to 1 week. If she's a shy girl or seems to be the type that goes out but mainly with her girls, then I'd say sooner rather then later. Anyway, my suggestion is that the phone call/conversation (with her or her voicemail) is more important then when you call.

There is no set time line to when you should call her - and I believe there is no reason not to call her the next day. Obviously if you call them a few hours later its not right. My belief is that if I get the number on a saturday I will call on a sunday arvo if its a girl worth keeping. Why in the afternoon? It gives me time to sober up from the previous night and actually keep a conversation with her. She may be attracted to you from the intial offset but if you come out with nothing to say then its almost as good as over.

I don't think you are though, to be honest, because you wouldn't have asked the question. like someone said, if she's shy with a huge gaggle of female friends, call sooner than later. if she seems like a skeezer, and you're the male equivanlent, my guess would be wait till the wednesday night, when things get back to a weekend/party vibe. gee, can you tell I'm cynical about the bar scene?
