Re: City Of Heroes...
I played until the free month was up. I had several Characters, but my main was a invul/ss tanker. The level grind starts to get pretty steep around lvl 20, and you're no longer gaining access to more cool new powers as quickly so it really slows down. But for me the biggest problem is the lack of loot. Sure, sometimes when you kill stuff you get an enhancement or inspiration(if you haven't played, you use enhancements to strengthen your powers, you get to allocate slots for enhancements every other level), but as there are no unique enhancements theres really only 3 types of enhancements that are interesting(training,SO & DO) and they can all be bought at stores. So you're stuck grinding through a level and you don't even have the hope of getting cool new equipment. That pretty much killed it for me.

Re: City Of Heroes...
Ian is right, it's pretty different from normal MMORPGs because theres no loot or equipment. But it doesn't really make sense to have that stuff in the realm of superheroes, why would someone who can fly and shoot lazers out of his hands need a magic sword? I agree that it would be more interesting if there were unique enhancements though. (Enhancements are the closest things to items in the game. You can enhance your powers by giving them more damage, range, etc..)

Man, I am SOOO addicted to this game. currently have me a lvl 28 mutant blaster (claws/super reflexes). I do say tho, no haven't unique equipment does suck, but i love its fast pace and once u start doing task forces with others, it gets really addicting. now if it wasn't 15 bucks a month.....

Re: City Of Heroes...
I'm probably going to cancel my account soon, so if anyone wants an account with a lvl 12 blaster, 8 controller, and 7 defender let me know. Never really got into it.

Re: City Of Heroes...
I've heard good things about this game. Is there a site with any sort of quick-start guide or tutorial on how to play?

Re: City Of Heroes...
I played in beta and have been playing since it came out - great fun! One of the only mmorpgs you can jump into for 15 minutes at a time, or 8 hours.
