after taking the pill my girlfriend had her first period a week early which is normal (said on the package) but then she had her second period about 2 weeks after that! She's scared since it's two weeks earlier than usual and it's unusually heavy. I need some help, has anyone ever experience this? Could this possible be a sideeffect of the pill?

Yeah, since the pill is basically introducing new hormones into your system it will mess with a girls period for several months after she starts taking it, they'll come at different times, and there could be spotting. After a few months though, periods become very regular (down to the day for most girls) and are usually lighter, and there is less pain and discomfort associated with the whole process. If she's only been on it for 2 months don't worry, it could be a few months more before everything straightens out. As long as she's getting her period she isn't pregnant. If there are any more serious side effects ask a doctor, but I wouldn't worry about this.

agreed. also make sure she's taking them correctly. skipping too many pills will make her bleed early too. they need to be taken at the same time everyday. some docs will say even a half hour difference is considered a late pill.

Yeah I had a girlfriend when I was 22 whos cycle was all messed up because of the pill. A second opinion from another doctor to determine if she is on the right pill could help. Sometimes they misdiagnose what pill is right because they are based on hormones, And everybodys levels are different.
It can get scary sometimes thinking you might be a daddy. Rubbers arent that bad if you don't want to be refered to as "My babies daddy"! (plus the pill) Bareback feels good, But not as good as handing over 1/3 of your paycheck for the next 18 years.

ok i don't have any personal experience with the morning after pill, but i'd be willing to be it'll fuck you up pretty good for at least a couple months. those are some serious hormones all taken at once so i'd give it even a few more months before even bothering to ask a doctor.

Don't worry about it. Clearly, the morning after pill worked and she isn't pregnant. Girls who aren't on the pill can have irregular periods sometimes anyway, and the shot of hormones in the morning after pill could just be accentuating it. Only 2 periods is not that much to worry about. Don't worry, she's fine.

Basically the morning after pill is like regular contraceptives but contains a stronger dose. It can do many things...including that....if she continues to have problems in the future have her tell her ob/gyn at her next visit.
